Indian Horse blog #3
As our class just finishes up our first novel of the semester Indian horse. I think and reminisce all of that I've learned. The story line is a representation of the things that the families and the children that went to resisdental schools had to face. As i go through the book I am amazed with how the author "Richard Wagamese". tells Sauls story. Throughout the book he shares the deep meaning of what Saul had to go through. I think that the most effective thing in Richards writing is how he can effectively show and teach the readers about the trauma children and families had to go through because of the residential schools. “They scooped out our insides, Saul. We’re not responsible for that. We’re not responsible for what happened to us. None of us are.” Fred said. This quote from chapter 52 shows us how Wagamese uses his writing to explain to reader s how the residential school survivors feel after being abused for many years.
